Overview
Provide professional leadership and support for our start-up facility. To support local, division and corporate human resource objectives through recruitment and selection, training and development, safety compliance, as well apply consistent employee relations decisions while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and company policies and practices
.
The Human Resource Manager position requires an individual with a minimum of 7 years progressively responsible experience in human resources with a strong preference for individuals with a manufacturing background. The individual must have at least 3 years at the supervisory or managerial level supervising a staff. Must be results oriented with a collaborative management style, have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in an organization, be a team player, demonstrate integrity and trustworthiness, and have a solid knowledge of employment law and human resource disciplines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the screening, recruiting and selection process
• Conducts/manages investigations, collaborates with other HR, ethics officer and legal representatives reports on findings, recommends corrective action as required
• Counsels, guides and trains managers and employees regarding policy interpretation, performance improvement process, promotion, etc. Interprets and advises on disciplinary and termination actions. Serves as arbitrator in employee relations matters recommending course of action consistent with company policies and practice.
• Drive positive employee practices and establish a healthy culture
• Delivery of strategic and beneficial supervisory and leadership programs
• Monitor local area wages and benefits for recommendation to management
• Champion safe work practices
Requirements
Qualifications
The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor’s degree(advanced degree preferred) AND
ten (10) years of related experience. Master's degree preferred.
