Job Duties:

 

  • The basic function of the Service Manager of Johnson Supply is to carry out the plans, goals, objectives, and directives of the Regional Service Manager

 

  • Support customers and all sales and store staff with product information, trouble shooting equipment malfunctions, work hand in hand with warranty problem solving, training presentations for customers and employees about equipment and new products.
  • Act as a training resource for Johnson Supply
  • Provide technical assistance to customer a vast customer base
  • Act as a liaison with Manufacturers on customer complaints, product and application issues and administer field modifications.
  • Assist dealers on start up of equipment when required
  • Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and achieve all objectives and goals as stated.
  • Act in support to sales and marketing departments
  • Act as arbitrator for concessionary warranty issues – consultation with President of Johnson Supply on potential customer problems
  • Act as a resource to expedite York warranty recovery
  • Maintain library of service related information (i.e.- parts, wiring diagrams, etc.)
  • Responsible for updating policy and procedure manuals for Service Department
  • Responsible for follow up on manufacturer defect correspondence
  • Administer warranty process – sign off on concessionary warranty claims
  • Update and maintain education reference materials

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Required: High School diploma or GED and Factory Training
  • Preferred:  Numerous trouble shooting classes, theory class and field experience.
  • Licensing/Registration/Certification
  • Required:  Valid drivers license, Insurable driving record.
  • Preferred:  EPA and NATE Certification
  • Experience: Required:  5 years of field experience, technical classes
  • Preferred:  Sales background, 10 years of field experience, and electrical experience
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Physical: Body Positions: standing, sitting, stooping, lying down, squatting and the ability to flex arms, fingers, legs and feet
  • The ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend standard American English
