In the early 1920's, Albert Schmidt started in the oil business, delivering fuel oil to local homeowners. It was his love for the petroleum business that sparked his sons' interest and involvement, so much so that, in the early 1950's, U.S. Oil Co., Inc. (formerly Schmidt Oil) was started. Since then, due to a strong entrepreneurial spirit, the company has expanded rapidly in many different, yet related enterprises.
